Gold Vermeil (pronounced ver-MAY) is a thick layer of solid gold over sterling silver.

The bale is sculpted in wax attached to the original shell, made into a mold and cast into sold sterling silver using a traditional casting technique and then plated in solid 14k gold. This necklace is solid and with a wonderful weight.

The chain is 14k gold filled, is 18" and adjustable to any shorter length needed with a 3" drop chain and shell.
